Greenhealth Approved: Gloves


Products bearing the Greenhealth Approved seal for gloves must meet all of the following:


  1. Greenhealth Approved will only license products that are applicable for use in a health care setting.

  2. Greenhealth Approved will only license gloves that have met all applicable federal regulations.

  3. Products must be sold in the United States to receive the Greenhealth Approved seal.*

  4. Products must meet at minimum all criteria of Health Care Without Harm’s Sustainable Gloves criteria.**

  5. Products are within the Gloves categories.***

  6. Products must have the required disclosure including a listing of all ingredients. As a final step in the vetting, suppliers are required to sign an attestation stating that all information provided for the review is true and accurate and that all chemical criteria are met. It is preferred, but not required, that laboratory testing data from an accredited lab is provided to verify compliance.


* If your product is not sold in the United States, please complete our application so we can connect you with international opportunities to work with our organization.

** If products contain proprietary ingredients, those ingredients will need to be disclosed during the vetting process. If a supplemental NDA is necessary for that ingredient disclosure, we can work with you to execute one. An additional fee will apply.

*** Products not within one of the Greenhealth Approved product categories for medical products can be submitted for review and category expansion by Greenhealth Approved. Review times will vary and a submission of a product for review is not an indication of future licensing. For products that are not listed, please complete the application and select “other” for product type where prompted. We will contact you to evaluate if category expansion is appropriate and in alignment with our mission.

    Download and complete the product intake form.

    • Review the application information and criteria.
      Complete the “formulation” tab for each product. Include all products for which you are seeking the seal.
      If the product or product packaging carries additional sustainability attributes (i.e. meets Proposition 65 requirements, is made from post-consumer recycled materials, etc.), please include this information.

    Access the Greenhealth Approved supplier application, answer the questions, and submit your product information form using the upload section.
